Level 1 Messaging is used to differentiate between regular emails and normal emails. So for example you want to be notified right away when your boss emails. You can set any email from your boss be marked as Level 1 and in the ‘Profiles’ menu set a different ring tone for Level 1 messages.
Setting up Level 1 messages are very straight forward.
1. 1. Go to BlackBerry Desktop Manager select Redirector Settings.
2. Go to the Filters tab and select New.
3. Enter your filter parameters.
4. After your filter is created, go to ‘Profiles’ on your BlackBerry.
5. Wheel-click –> Edit.
6. Level 1 Messages.

1) Log in ke webclient via PC (website operator BlackBerry™ anda)
2) Pilih email accounts
3) Pilih Filter
4) Pada kolom 1, isi dgn judul filter (terserah aja)
5) Pada kolom 2, bisa set mau Level 1 utk apa… Bisa “To”, “From”, dsb..
6) Pada kolom 3, isi dgn alamat email/keywords yang mau di set Level 1.
**Misal utk Japri di milis, supaya tampil highlight Level 1, maka kolom 2 diisi “To” field, terus pada kolom 3 diisi alamat email yang qta pake utk milis. Misal utk email dari keluarga/bos, kolom 2 diisi “From” field, terus pada kolom 3 diisi alamat email ybs. Misal mau kata “blackberry” tampil highlight Level 1, maka kolom 2 diisi “Subject” field, terus pada kolom 3 diisi WTS.
7) Di bawah kolom2 tesebut, tick Forward Messages to HH, tick Level 1 message.
